The 18000A 18V system consists of four 4500A water-cooled rectifiers in parallel (N+1). It serves electro-galvanizing lines processing steel strip 800 to 1500 mm wide. Specifically, a line at 60 m/min draws 12000 to 18000A. Furthermore, one rectifier acts as backup.
